African Bride wearing Traditional Beads.

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, not in my culture, Traditional Beads are the ultimate for those special occasions.

Traditional African Beads are mostly worn by the Royals.  Kings, Queens, Princes and Princesses, they wear this to distinguish themselves from their subjects. Traditional high chiefs, distinguished men and women in the society also wear them to command great respect.

Traditional Beads are very diverse, and some are very expensive, different ethnic groups in Nigeria and Africa have their own traditional beads for cultural events. Some are worn on the waist and as anklet

A lot of African people wear traditional beads for special occasions such as is norm during customary engagements and weddings, or on birthdays, and new-born babies naming ceremonies.

Culturally for such big occasions and cultural events Traditional beads are part of our African heritage and are the most coveted jewellery to adorn the special traditional attire like the iro and buba that the celebrant is wearing. It is extremely popular amongst the Yoruba’s and the Edo indigenes of Nigeria.

Traditional beads have gone trendy and has become a staple fashion accessory available in the mainstream market and we are all here for it.
